Q: Can I try out a sewing machine before I purchase it?
A:
Yes. Most stores are going to allow you to test drive their sewing
machines before you buy one. You can bring to the store fabrics
that you plan on using so that you can see how it works with them.
Also, be sure that the machine is user-friendly – but remember,
just because the backstitch button or lever is in different place
than you are used to, it does not mean that you cannot get used
to it somewhere else! Also, be sure to check out the special features
of your potential sewing machine. Do not convince yourself that
you need the sewing machine with all of the embroidery features
or other features if you know that you just want to use it to hem
pants!
