Sewing machines are such an integral part of our lives today. If everyone had to make their clothing by hand, you can guarantee that you would not have an entire closet full of clothing. Sewing machines were first invented and used for industrial purposes. With the advent of the sewing machine, clothing was mass-produced and made more affordable. Of course, it is, perhaps, because of the sewing machine that you and that other girl showed up to prom in the exact same dress!
